What the heck was this? It’s a very confused movie, tonally. Couldn’t decide what it wants to be: full on comical satire, or horrifying meditation on big existential themes. Some movies and stories masterfully combines both, but this one really stumbles and falls flat on its face. And I didn’t even come into this with any expectations.. sad sad revisit of the original. Adds nothing to cultural literacy of the genre, nothing to British pop culture, nothing to Brexit or any sort of allegory of political commentary, adds nothing whatsoever. Sad.
