Born in 1950, most of my graduating class served our country in Vietnam. This book although a novel is an accurate history of Vietnam. It covers Vietnam from French occupation and the United States presence as advisors starting in 1945 to our leaving in 1975 and is a very accurate book. I recommend it for anybody wanting to know the true history of Southeast Asia. Although a novel the facts are true.
