Always been a fan of medical professionals and this show satisfies the need to take a close look at their work. Fiction or not, it looks real enough. Almost gallows humor sometimes, it has the characters making light of difficulties. Imagine The Resident's drama replaced by science.

I don't read a lot of books but when I do, I read things like Mason's true story. It had me riveted all the way through. I always wanted to know more about choppers when I was in VN and this was a thoroughly satisfying and suspenseful read. Almost the same objectivity as Michael Hess (who was a professional observer) and presented with the same deadpan horror.
