It's an okay American movies coated with Asian setting and characters. Things are fun and lighthearted, enjoyable to watch. But the Chinese setting made it worst. The movie tries so hard to look Chinese but the story ark, people's motivation and actions are absolutely American/western. The main message that "money can't buy happiness" or "friendship above everything else" are foreign and even dumb to most Asians living in Asia. Yet another "Asian representation" media that fell into the cultural uncanny valley.
