Well, well, well...Stella Meghie. I thought I was in for a treat on this one but the movie was not quite there.
First, the movie was too predictable.
Second, the music editors TOTALLY messed up when they cut up "If This World Were Mine" with Luther and Cheryl Lynn (you just don't mess up a love scene with an over-edited classic love song).
Third, the movie bounced all over everywhere before settling on a plausible plot. Finally, it really lacked tension. Movies, even romantic ones, need a wee bit of tension.
Positives: great cinematography and soundtrack minus the mess up with Luther.
It would have been far better if Stella went for directing a great romance rather than an artsy film.
C+.
