The Wilding was (I found out after I watched it) actually a pilot for a TV series that was never completed...so what we are left with is the first episode that 1 introduces the viewer to all the main characters; 2. starts to tell the story about how dark, supernatural forces are impacting upon their lives in this rural backwater town in California; and which 3. ends with a "cliff-hanger" i.e one the main character disappears in the woods just as her spooky father turns up to see her ....and which will never be resolved because no more episodes were ever made !!!! Watching episode 1 of a series that was never finished was a complete & utter waste of my time and so frustrating because the story had a lot of potential. That potential will not now be realised :-(
