This movie was amazing! No slow burn or unnecessary character building. After watching Everest I watched this. The comedy was not unnatural and actually very realistic. The characters are very organically built and the spirit shown is truly mind blowing. These people suffered what I can only imagine, just looking at the vast mountain ranges, snow and peaks as far as the eye can see makes me uneasy. The fact that they worked together and survived over 2 months in such a unforgiving terrain is beyond logic. The film tells the story very well and the actors did an impressive job. So impressive it has left a mark on me. All those survivors lived through a remarkable experience and showed amazing strength and courage even when making decisions that I previously judged them for. I usually watch thrillers or horrors so this was not my first choice but it is the best Hollywood movie by far. The film makers did an stellar job bringing this to the big screen. P.s the actors chosen have a very close resemblance to the real survivors too.
