The movie is a good watch for die hard fans of the series. However, if you watch it without any background knowledge, it may be a bit confusing for people because the motives of the characters seem forced to drive the movie. The love between the heroes could have been less forced by a few extra shots and only makes sense if you've watched the show. And similarly with ladybug's motivation to be a hero. Simply an explosion was not a strong enough incentive for her as a character to be a hero. Some may argue that she did it because her friends were in danger, but bare in mind she didn't know her friends were in danger at that point and didn't mention it herself to consider it why she did it. It could have been made better by a few simple tweaks.
