An enjoyable experience, which sticks to its satirical themes of modern-day internet sensitivity culture, the dehumanisation of common plebeians and the self-aggrandising elite. Also not afraid to poke fun at the mad conspiracy theorists without vilifying them.
I found that the first few minutes, in which we are misdirected as to who the protagonist is going to be, to be very funny; absurdist, almost.
I'd imagine this film would receive critique about being partisan or divisive, but I could not imagine those same critics would complain about the negative portrayals of everyday working-class Americans in most movies/series these days. This movie is allowed to exist and I'm glad that it does.
I felt the main villains motivations weren't very well thought out; why not just kill them, why do they need to know why they were sent here; how does enacting the thing they accused you of solve the problem?
Still, I'd recommend it.
