While I don't think it's a perfect show and have not read the books this show made me want to read the books. It is an interesting story and I'd love to see it play out. Yes, there are plot holes, stereotypes and I got the impression that it is a show that's trying to show extremely intelligent people the average person couldn't understand but still be gripping and relatable which makes me question what audience is this show for. The science talk goes above my head but the drama part likely doesn't appeal to those who understand the scientific aspects. I will watch this show, love the concepts but am aware of its flaws. If anything I'm inspired to read the books which are likely a much better rendition of this story.
