I enjoyed the middle, but the beginning and the end messed it up for me. I need details. There was really no beginning. I know nothing about this guy's life before, and didn't get to see what he returned to. Didn't get to see the woman reunite with her family. Never got to see how he lost his toes (were they already gone, or did he do self amputation due to gangrene??). I felt left hanging
