The casting of Sacha Baron Cohen (who is almost 50) as Abbie Hoffman (in his early 30s during the trial) is ridiculous - and thus distracting throughout the movie. The casting in general was poor. The dialogue is weak. The wigs and attempt at 60s costumes are unconvincing. The scene toward the end where the names of dead soldiers is read out in the courtroom was like swimming in cheese whizz. Joseph Gordon Levitt is the only person to emerge with any credit in this botched attempt at a courtroom drama.

Leya’s two different worlds collide to great effect in this decent drama.. Nice pace, story, characters and music. Great performances acting wise.

The movie has its moments, and the cinematography and while Timothy C’s performance were strong, the incessant music, game-of-thrones inspired dialogue and annoying colour palettes left me underwhelmed.

I’ve watched the first 5 episodes and so it’s been way better than expectations. The characters are multi-dimensional, acting is good and the story is interesting. Most of all, the story is sympathetic to Pamela which I like. Great music too.
