Gets you attached to characters and sends you hopes and hints of them making it just to kill them off in brutal, graphic, emotionally shattering ways. Happens more than once. The ending was happy but there was heartbreak and death after death. Not appropriate for children under 12 I'd say. Had me balling and pondering the heartbreaks for days after.
