I really like the show, definitely love the inner child. I really love Kerri Washington’s character also and the single parent part too! I’m just so taken aback on how there wasn’t any positive black women in this black woman’s life. The father was a jail bird and she still loves and dotes over him and listens to everything he says about men yet where are the positive black female role models? The appropriating white woman that wants so much to be called her mom??? I get it it’s about rebuilding a relationship with her father and that’s a great thing, but seriously the only black women in her life wasn’t s$&t and neither was the father? I love love love Kerri Washington but I’m disappointed in the lack of positive black women in this series. I also don’t like how they’re making black fathers look. Other races already think that all black fathers been to jail and aren’t there for their children.
