Out of all the Jackass movies ...I like this one the least. In fact, I can comfortably Jackass Forever is the worst of the franchise. Besides a handful of dangerous and funny stunts, Jackass Forever for the most part feels oddly tame and lackluster. The stunts are not consistently dangerous like they were in the other movies; and the few that are are undergone from the original guys (Johnny Knoxville and Ehren definitely take one for the team here). Majority of the segments are overly produced and mild, I felt I was watching stunts from a wacky game show rather than Jackass at times. The material in this movie mostly consists of the daredevils under the pretense they’re participating in a mild stunt only for it to be part of an elaborate, cruel prank. And despite the controversy over his firing, Bam Margera does appear in one VERY dangerous, memorable stunt. Even though his appearance is brief, he does get incredible footage, which makes you wonder how much more compelling footage he could have gotten before he was fired. With the newcomers not making much of a presence, the absence of Bam and Ryan (CKY crew), and the restrictions production faced from Covid there is not much to enjoy in Jackass Forever. When it comes to watching Jackass at my age the stunts are hit or miss, but the nostalgia is always fulfilling. Here they’re both lacking.
