One of my favorite books of all time. It reminds me of The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis in the sense of focusing on people’s weaknesses at a simple level and how those weaknesses can be exploited. The characters were well developed. The villain was clever . The plot advanced steadily toward disaster for seemingly innocuous individuals.
