I don’t like movies with a metaphorical meaning, subliminal message, where you have to guess what the director is trying to express. This is one of them. Good acting by Jesse Plemons and Emma Stone. First half is boring, after Emma Stone takes the lead you can’t take your eyes off from her. She saves the film from a lame one star. I would not recommend it.

Luckily I watched this movie on Max ; I’d be really upset if I had to pay for this 💩. Acting was horrible, it seems they were making an effort to act this bad. The plot is childish and nonsensical. When I learned one of the main characters is the director’s daughter, I thought his father made that film as a break thru for his daughter. Hard to believe Night Shyamalan is the same person who directed The Sixth Sense and made this crappy movie.

I’ve been eager to watch this movie for a long time but truly I couldn’t be more disappointed. I found the movie to be boring and way too long. In my opinion the director got fixated with the government ( thanks to Lewis Strauss) obsession with Oppenheimer who was suspected to be a communist and a traitor. I understand that problem followed the physicist thru his whole life but movies are meant for entertainment and not to replace a documentary. One more thing, I watched the movie on IMAX because that’s Christopher Nolan recommended. Honestly I don’t see the reason, most of the movie is shot inside rooms and the showing of the explosion is just for a few seconds. Superb cast. Exceptional acting. The movie most certainly will get a bunch of awards but for me was still boooooring.
