Another movie that shows great example of up and downs in relationships! (500) Days Of Summer offers us a perspective of protagonist Tom, who designs cards for each special occasions while dreams of becoming an architect. During a meeting, he meets his crush who later becomes his girlfriend Summer, who recently got in position as assistant. The movie then opens up each characters’ personality traits by revealing their exact music taste, Summer’s and Tom’s wishes on relationships and how they progressed as they were dating. At first, Summer never wished for a relationship with Tom, even though they had so much in common, like listening to the Smiths, but that didn’t stop Tom from being so love struck with her, in fact, he succeeded into dating her. The beginnings were humorous, like the IKEA scene with the awkward role play as a married couple, including the horrified Chinese family, and yelling out male’s private part, while the children were around, including side eyes from pedestrians. But later, in the middle of the film, we began to notice a change in Summer’s behavior during the relationship and broke up with Tom. But that didn’t stop him from being friends with her, in fact she got married to a man she felt comfortable with more. Would recommend this hilarious, yet a story about break up!

Maybe because I am not a huge fan of anime, Angels Of Death is one of the most boring animes I have ever seen in my own life. The plot takes place in a horror genre, a 13 year old girl named Rachel, who randomly gets trapped in a facility where she has to escape from antagonists each floor. While she searches for her way out, she comes across a man Zack, who is a literal mummy that somehow has hair (maybe it’s a wig, who knows?) who attempts to kill her, and spoiler alert my friends, they befriend each other! This anime also made me inference how unrealistic and confusing it is because Rachel had a moment where she feared and ran away from him, but once they reunite because he saved her from a doctor who is an absolute creep, she asks him to kill her. Maybe because again I am not a huge fan of anime, but I wouldn’t recommend this show to folks who would like to give it a shot on binging anime under horror genre.

Midnight in Paris is an amazing movie I have ever watched during the year 2023. The amount of nostalgia it serves, it is very tremendous, especially the visuals and the music. The cast, absolutely perfect, Owen Wilson knew how to make his role as Gil Pender more relatable, especially for introverts like me. And the idea of traveling back to past as the midnight stuck the clocks of Paris, its a fantastical dream, especially meeting the idols of the 20s decade like Fitzgerald, Hemingway, etc. This movie deserved the Oscar for best original screenplay!

8 words: Pinocchio: A True Story is a complete disaster. Stumbling across this movie is a huge wasting of my own time on doing something more reliable than this. Even though this movie is based on both Pinocchio and Buratino story, as a Slavic kid, this movie has succeeded into basically humiliating the fairytales I grew up with. I am not sure if the positive reviews for this movie are sarcastic or bots taking advantage, but they are not accurate enough to compare what a “good and bad” production is, the CGI in this is very misleading, especially the hair design, it reminded me of a leftover pieces of Sumatran tsunami of 2004 that was turned into a Halloween costume wigs. The plot line is way too messed up to connect the point of the storyline in this movie, it was too basic and confusing at the same time. Finally, the voice acting is horrible, especially the iconic line that was turned into a meme “Father when can I leave to be on my own~”, it sounded too cheesy and laidback, and it reminded me to take my American Sign Language class again. 100% won’t recommend towards anyone who are looking for Pinocchio story adaptations.

Asteroid City is one of my favorite movies made by Wes Anderson. I think the details in the movie are great as they are Anderson’s signature style, the cast is a really good pick for a movie like Asteroid City, and the feeling of America in the 50s was nostalgic coming from Gen Z. I even loved the alien, the amount of details it had was more original, due to amount of aliens being depicted as green with black eyes, which is very smart. I also liked the parts outside of the “Asteroid City” storyline, where it showed how the actors, director and playwright’s life was like on and off set. In conclusion, Asteroid City, in my opinion, is a great movie that takes place in a Sci-Fi storyline with comedy. Also, I loved Scarlett Johansson’s role in it, it was very good.
