I would not recommend this movie to anyone, unless you like wasting your time. The start of the movie I’ll admit made me want to figure out what was happening, but as the plot continued and got more confused and messy I lost interest. The character development was interesting, im using the word interesting because I don’t know if any of the characters really developed. By the end of the movie I did not care if any of them survived. I get the theme that humans are to reliant on technology or whatever but so many aspects of the film drifted away from that plot that I kinda had to keep reminding myself what the heck was going on. Especially with the daughters obsession with friends, or even the animals migrating especially the scene with the really jacked deer, or when the married couple looked like they wanted to have sex with the other family. Even when the son had radiation poisoning or rabies… the movie made me ask so many questions. Is it aliens?, asteroids?, world war? Climate change?, hole in the ozone?. Frankly the answer I got was a stretch that didn’t explain half the events that took place in the movie. I think maybe, slightly this movie had potential but the beginning was so slow, That boat seen took so long and it wasn’t even that relevant to the story line, they could have skipped the first seen and I would have been just as bored watching the rest of the film.
