With a nod to ‘Brideshead Revisited’ but more like ‘The Talented Mr Ripley’, this film is an intriguing thematic combination of class and power, and, macabre humour and squeamishly manipulative game playing. I felt the ending was a little too drawn out but overall found the casting, locations and plot development to be excellent.
