Couldn't agree more when Kevin McCaffrey wrote 2 years ago: "This is one of those shows that’s serenely convinced of the transcendental veracity of its own beliefs, leaving no room for differently-abled viewers. Unfortunately, feeble moral disquisitions are the norm nowadays, often taking back seat to such radical ideas as entertaining the audience. Simply stated, the art of subtlety has been lost, which is a shame in general but especially so in the realm of artistic endeavor" Unfortunately, the show hasn't taken the hint of Kevin's valid observations and is preachy as ever at the expense of quality entertainment. I enjoyed Eggleston from The Blacklist and keep hoping this show will be better written because the actors are wonderful....but it doesn't, if anything, it's worse. Poor Eggleston, he is stuck with the cheesy 'cause of the week' shtick. It's gotten incredibly sophomoric...
