Not a verbatim adaptation of the original book (The Halloween Party), but a good entertaining piece of cinema. Use of oblique camera angles and fish eye lenses add to the uncomfortable feeling. It's rated as a 12a but might not be suitable for sensitive children. Worth the price of admission.

Tight, taut, tense, claustrophobic. You'll live every second of this film. Well worth a watch and at 90 minutes won't feel like a slog.

Still had the power to make children of all ages laugh and boo at the villains.

A great piece of South Korean horror cinema. A good story with some proper jumps and scares. See this rather than The Nun II.

A great addition to the cinematic Equalizer franchise. Good as a stand alone film, but there are a couple of references back to the previous 2 films. Lovely Italian setting. Worth seeing in IMAX too if you can stretch to it.

Not the best superhero film out there, but filled with all the good origin story elements. Some nice creativity with costumes, vehicles and gadgets. Likeable hero characters, dislikable villans. A fun way to spend 2 hours. Oh and stay for the during credits scene and post credits scene.

A genuinely lovely piece of British cinema. Dealing with grief in childhood and heartfelt emotions. The interplays between Georgie, Ali and Jason are wonderful, but the scenes where Georgie is dealing with her life and grief on her own make this film.
