I like the movie for its content and real life perspective on the horrors of sex trafficking. However, I couldn't help me to notice the stereotypical norm that still manifest deeply in society of the black woman. She is the one strong willed and comforting everyone all the other girls. Despite being beautiful, she was still seen as the least of the other girls. She provided fight to help Sarah escape the arms of Max, but yet she was never rescued during the FBI raids. At the end, she is once again left comforting another young girl. I know it is a movie, but yet we still see stereotypical society norms.
