I'm surprised I've never seen this movie before, I've noticed TCM has been showing some goodies from the vault and this is one of those. Straight to the point about topics that are usually hard to write about while at the same time bringing people together in an honest way. I have to say I see some similarities between the prisoner (and his diagnosis combined with his childhood years) and the character of Tony from The Sopranos. Bobby Darin is superb in this, because he is very BELIEVABLE! The theatrical nature of the scenes makes it timeless, as does the subject matter.
