This is a brutally honest review!!! If you’re rating this as 5 stars you must be blind or completely mentally deficient (or both). Just Utterly appalling! Just no effort has been put in once again, the graphics are so unbelievably bad that I would rather super glue my eyes shut and walk through a maze of broken glass than play through this. There is No story whatsoever just battling and catching wild Pokémon with no end goal. I have played every mainline Pokémon game since Pokémon yellow and I have never been so utterly bored within the first few hours of gameplay, I have zero motivation to collect meaningless ‘research points’. I cannot stand the repetitive nature of the game. The dialogue is ridiculously long, the Pokémon designs are uninspired and outright lazy (there is new forms for the final evolutions of the starters but the previous evolutions look exactly the same as the original forms) also the Tutorials are just insulting towards my intelligence. I could go on and on and on and on. Even one star is generous

Essentially another slap in the face for Pokémon fans expecting some effort on making this a fantastic remake. This game is not better than platinum, a game which came out 13 years previous to this 2021 remake. This has far less features and doesn’t improve upon anything that platinum improved on. Just another mindless cash grab that only fans who’ve been groomed to accept the bare minimum and mediocrity. The absolute worst feature about the game in my opinion is the FORCED EXP SHARE, it completely stripped any fun away from the game in making it incredibly easy, I might as well have just played with one Pokémon and just smashed the A button the whole game, the game might aswell play itself at this point. I’m offended by how lazy an effort this was, I can’t even remember half my Pokémon team due to how over levelled they were and how easy the play through was and neither could I care any less as my game is already back on eBay. 1/10
