This story is so long over due, I started out bracing myself; expecting to see that dark side I knew was coming. But, everyone, and especially Kerry Washington and Ebony Obsidian are so magnificent, I was crying tears of pride by the end. The story was very well written and delivered a punch in all the right moments. I am going to tell everyone I know to watch and learn more about our country’s history. Clearly, it should be shown in our schools and in our homes. Well done, Mr. Tyler Perry, well done. I loved seeing Susan Sarandon, Oprah Winfrey and Sam Waterston add their star power in supporting roles as well. The authenticity and attention to detail matters in this wonderful acknowledgement for all those heroines from the Six, Triple Eights.
