In the movie genre dictionary, next to the definition of Dark Comedy, there is a .gif with Bill Murray and Adam Driver in the police car with The Dead Don't Die poster backdrop and Adam Driver saying, repeatedly, "This is not going to end well." THAT'S WHAT IS SO TRUE. HE'S READ THE SCRIPT AND KNOWS -
IT DOES NOT END WELL. Why are people dumping on this movie? Don't you get it? The whole point is that the foreshadowing of the climax started 10 minutes into the film. The ending of this movie is about as good as a toddler's attempt to gift wrap a goldfish. THAT'S THE POINT. All of these well known and some even award winning actors & icons (goldfish) are flopping around with bad dialogue and almost no real story line, much less arc, and you're expecting a neatly wrapped up, meaningful or even organized conclusion? You were watching a send up of a 50's B movie Horror flick (Remember The Blob?) and one of the leads kept telling you the ending set out in the script was bad. The dark was the predictable horror flick elements. The comedy was YOU are the brunt of the joke. He promised you the movie didn't have a decent ending. And it didn't. It was deliberately the stupidest, worst & most unsatisfying end to a movie with AT LEAST 5 MAJOR STARS IN IT ever to fade to black! That joke on me EARNED 5 STARS!
