A hugely entertaining, fast-moving satire, with impressive acting from the entire cast. However, as with its fellow Korean house takeover film 'The Handmaiden', it's a tad overlong and excessively violent towards the end. With a bit more restraint and editing, it could have ended up a masterpiece.

A kinky, baroque, foul-mouthed mix of "The Madness of King George" and “All About Eve", with Emma Stone's scheming Abigail as the Eve character. All the leads enjoy themselves and turn in great performances, but the tragedy of the loneliness of Olivia Colman's Queen Anne, which should be the heart of the film, only comes through sporadically. The Director seems a bit too keen on playing up the farcical side of it, leading to a highly shallow and cynical end product.
