Mary Mytryshyn

I heard some criticisms of Leave the World Behind and decided to take a pass. Then my daughter mentioned that she liked it, so I chose to give it a try. Like my daughter, I also really liked the movie and, unlike many others, I think that the ending is appropriate and meaningful. The cast and performances are excellent, and I appreciate the storyline. The plot mirrors the polarization that we are experiencing in our country, the conspiracy theories, and our human tendency for selfishness. In the end, the characters help one another and the daughter finds her happy place. I want to believe that those elements foreshadow the survival of humanity and a happy ending for society.
