Visually excellent, occasionally funny and strong acting.
Character of Ken falls victim to lazy writing at the end. The "Ken is me" line isn't as profound as the writers likely thought. Although gosling provides good comic relief, Morgot robbie mainly carries the movie, given her meatier role.
The story line is skewed between two narratives, the mother-daughter relationship that Barbie attempts to mend and Barbie realizing how inconsequential she is to the problems of real world women. The latter was addressed better than the former.
The movie is definitely worth a watch, personally people disappointed by the movie either fail to understand the satirical nature of glorifying a matriachy or their expectations were unrealistically high, it is after all a BARBIE movie.
