I didn't have any preconceptions about this game. So I personally think it is a fun game. It does have it's issues. I am looking forward to seeing how this game will improve and grow over its lifetime. I'd have to say that for now you should wait for it to be on sale. It doesn't feel fully fleshed out yet to pay full price. The naval combat is great! Hoping they will add gun and sword play in the near future. Give it a shot.
