Mystery Road: Origin is beautifully shot, subtle, full of suspense and making your brain work. The mini earthquakes that nobody comments on, the songs telling stories of lost Aboriginal identity... all set against the unforgiving landscape of Western Australia. Really great cast all round. Even the dog is a brilliant actor! Excellent atmospheric slow burner. So many stills from this show are works of art in themselves. And such a relief to watch something so cinematic, intelligent and understated after all the typical Hollywood fare. Impressed and happy to savour.
