I truly dont understand the 5 star reviews. It's a pretty boring movie. I felt no connection with any of the acting. It felt messy. A gunslinger and a wizard? I've not read the books so I have no concept of what marks they were trying to hit. All I know is I'm an avid film fan, and this is something I found myself scrolling through with multiple attempts of watching it.Ironically the acting is pretty amazing, the issue was writing. I dont know if this was rushed or had some key parts from the books missing or what, I just did not feel anything whilst watching it. A shame for me too as I loved the cast, the concept and the genre is right up my street. My best description in one sentence is.... it feels big budget with a first time Director and production team.
