Meh-tier game.
Repetitive gameplay. You spend most of your time farming. If you want PvP then you still have to spend an inordinate amount of time farming scrap till you get a gun.
You build a base and advance up the tech tree at a snails pace. The only way you can increase the pace by playing longer. Some players spend 16 hours a day on this game.
Your base then becomes a Tamagotchi. You have to feed it stone and metal every day, otherwise it will degrade into nothingness.
By the time you finally hit your stride, when your base is expanding and you're clawing your way up the tech tree, it's time for a wipe and all your progress is lost.
Although gameplay is boring I still give Rust points for its unique concept. It's like a post-apocalyptic version of Sims where all your neighbors are trying to kill you.
