I was overall happy with this drama but could not give the full stars. Acting was good and I liked the various twists and turns. What let this down was not in English, lack of publicity in UK which probably killed series 3 which would have helped the judge in concluding investigations instead of rushing through late on in series 2. I do hope the actors are rewarded with an English drama set on the main Island, I would certainly watch.

This review is for firstly, the network and production company who managed to persuade TV networks for 6 seasons to put money into a a totally failed series and, to the potential viewers to not waste their time (unless you are really on something). To be clear, I watched all 6 seasons and all episodes. Why on earth (ha) it got any good reviews is beyond me. From the outset we have an established night club owner, lots of money and womanising, who is seen speeding, drink driving and regularly rude, abusive and crossing the line. And yet is never brought to account, ever. It is way too far from being serious, factual or even remotely acceptable, comedy yes but for the plot, tasteless and in some ways insulting not just to the intelligent but those who have religious beliefs. We have 'strangers' wandering in and of the police station and worse, crime scenes with no senior authority involved to control a really below standard bunch. The 'devil' actor was so wrong for the part and having to be so obnoxious, self absorbed and above everyone else completely spoiled it - yes it's the devil, so what fit in or it's carnage with his powers, could have had some exciting scenes! Season 5 with 'god' triggered dancing interludes and with visiting angels was a real low and I scratch my head as to why seasons 6 even made it. (Or seasons after the 1st) I don't have any religious faith but would have much preferred a more serious and relevant approach which the cast would have benefited from rather than the farce it turned out to be. What is really strange is that with the cosmos being created billions of years ago, why Earth was the only location selected is beyond me. Lack of imagination or just plain robbing the networks we will never know. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Yes, this year we actually watched it. But for any production company thinking about something similar you should learn lessons from why this was such a failure. For a multinational police force (Interpol) you need to keep the plots truly international. Too many characters and lacking important details when suddenly the criminals are caught. There were some good sub plots, relationships and secret pasts which dud not get the focus. Into season two some plots became a one episode afair with less reason for not using local police. Then the disaster into season 3 with nearly all new cast and a distinct lack of forethought as they probably new the game was up.

I appreciate the need for drama, twists in the story and of course emotion. But, the lack of safety and security protocols in the UK when the drones attacked was a big issue fir me. When a DCI is assigned to a foreign UK base the authority is set to the DCI with full access, but in the series it was argued and left festering which did spoil things. The rules of engagement were not followed when the DCI & Sqd Ldr were rescued and with ability to use the actual video footage to uncover what caused this, it didn't happen. Access to the armoury and I.T. in general was really poor and nobody could access in the way it was portrayed. The financial transactions was covered so poorly, I still don't know from who to who and who started it. When DCI videos on her phone the shooting at the lake, she left her phone, in hospital she has another phone but no record of the lost phone or the video evidence getting to court. As the slumps in her car having been shot leaving the lake, how did the emergency services know where to come? And finally the court case, there was lack of additional scope at the start preparing for court, what deal with police to not go public given the original drone victims families would be going public asking for answers. I think a 7th episode would have allowed for some of my points and unless in future the police/DCI is really in charge I probably wont watch anymore.
