Don’t listen to critics who skewered every little thing. This show has heart and it’s a great send-up of the actual Space Force, which was an idiotic idea. Yet the writers allow Steve Carell to take the job seriously and try to make something of it. Carell plays someone clearly out of his league who does not understand the science that actually puts rockets into space but every now and then he says something from the heart that changes your perspective and impresses Dr. Adrian Mallory (Malkoviich).
