I have had so much fun and I'm only halfway through. Although I think it would work and be better overall if they included national dex in gen 9 or just the future games.
The real reason for the Dex cut seems to be more focused on competitive balance. But as a close friend of mine pointed out just have a competitive ban list in the future and make all available.
