This book should have been compulsory reading in schools to prepare both men and women for the journey into the bewilderness of marriage and or pair bonding. Sure it was written and published way back in the later part of the 1800's in Russia, but the conversation between two men in a railway journey across Russia is as pertinent today as it was then. I picked my copy up at the recycling centre being a fan of classical Russian literature and haven't put it down yet! The title is misleading so don't be put off. If you aren't familiar with Tolstoi, he also wrote War and Peace as well as Anna Karenina which you may have heard of from the earlier films.,
