I have been reading Daniel Silva’s series of books about Gabriel Allon, his art restorer (and now retired) Mossad agent, since “The Kill Artist”, published 2000. They are all really excellent and very readable; including his latest book in the series “Portrait of an Unknown Woman”. Once I started to read this book I found it hard to “put down” as I wanted to find out what happened next in this fast paced drama about fake copies of old masters and multi-million dollar frauds in the art world. I found it a very plausible story with lots of twists and turns and an excellent surprise ending. I can highly recommend this book.
