This is a pretty good movie overall. As long as you don't analyze the accuracy you will enjoy the movie. Think of it as a much improved child's play type movie with a little better story and a much more realistic looking doll. Spoiler: Absolutely no way that the creator of Megan would not be held responsible for all of the murders. That is a fairly significant plot hole.
