Thanks to Acorn I have just seen the entire offering of Dr. Finlay. I wish there were many more episodes. It has been refreshing to see a show without the profanity and vulgarity so prevelant in much of what is supposed to be entertainment. The glimpses into Scottish life during that era has been very interesting, similar to Foyle's War in that respect.

Why is it that the shows I most enjoy don't last? In my opinion, there was a depth to these stories seldom seen elsewhere. I have only praise for those who created the characters and for those who portrayed them. Thanks, Netflix, for carrying this interesting and very entertaining series!

Each episode is a totally fascinating look at the lives of people within the confines of a strict religious code in modern Jerusalem. I am not personally familiar with those living in such a sect of Judaism, but it is not as I expected. Perhaps their lives are analogous to the Amish communities in America. I look forward to each episode and I am grateful that I have not seen portrayed in SHTISEL the physical violence that is so common in entertainment, produced both in the U.S. and abroad. The captions are very easy to read, which is not always the case. However, the dialogue is sometimes at a pace faster than what I can read. Thanks to all involved in its production and transmission!
