Just have watched KALKI 2898 AD . My Rating a Strong 8/10. (For fast scrollers, the rest can have a look below) Short review: I will not go for positives or negatives for this as I always have been a fan of Science Fiction and mythology both, so either way I will appreciate it. However keeping my affection outside the table this movie is definitely a theatrical experience not necessarily in 3D, impeccable VFX, Stunning Amitabh, fresh story out of the box, world we have never seen courtesy the director. Just could have done the editing wisely. That's all. A few points beside a review: we have an animated spinoff on the protagonist on prime video, watch it before commenting on anything. Ponder on the apocalyptic world dimensions, and why not compare Dune with Mad Max itself. References I felt were advertently given some times, some times ask of the story telling required by the future epoch. The intention I felt for this movie is to start a cinematic universe called the 'Kalki Cinematic Universe' and the first half is worthy to back it up. Yet again editing and dialogues in Hindi could have been way better. Fight sequence though it's a fantasy is still non realistic and lengthy sometimes.
