Vidyut Jamwal did really good specially as a helpless husband. The rest is as predictable and preposterous as any recent Bolly product.

The only movie IMDb has done justice to.

Overrated and the reason is shamelessly bare.

Bobby Deol after a long mute career is seen as quite a man of standing in this movie. The plot is flimsy and lacks the depth it needed to measure the political and criminal nexus, the prime subject of this movie. The acting performance of lead characters was laudable. Red Chillies did a fabulous job by picking up this looming crime wave of Bombay in the 80's but fell short of tools to prop it right. Yet it's entertaining folks.

Songs geared goosebumps all the way. It's admissible that one heck of a research was conducted before this movie was set on wheels. Srijit Mukherjee, after a prolonged pratfall on box office finally pulled off something that drew his lost audience back to the front of his screen.

The movie kept its storyline intact upto the curtains down. But somewhere the cool mindset of Akhshay Kumar's character lost its cool with time since the man's earmark of singing in the face of catastrophe and failure absolutely vanished in the latter half and it's a technical error. Sanjay Kapoor's abrupt and drastic change is a bit tough to swallow. Otherwise the dialogues are very much impactful, humorous and memorable.

The movie has an intriguing starting citing a man out to sweep the dirt out of social system by killing them systematically. But the crack the plot had fallen through is when it inoculated the "Preacher" in the vein of the murderer and made it ludicrously affined with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman starring Seven. But unlike Seven the killings done in the canvass of Five Elements lost its sensibility right after 20 minutes from the beginning as the murderer was out on a killing spree being devoured by retribution and not by the distorted desire to become a Messiah. The bread crumbs of trail left by the murderer was too scattered to thread into a concrete conclusion yet the genius detective (played by Jishu Sengupta) figured them out as if he is an accomplice to these heinous crime. The bottom line is that the movie from alpha to omega lacked the lusture and magnetism to keep viewers glued to the seat. A double Thumbs Down to BORNO-BIPORJOY.
