Was extremely let down by the casting of this movie. It doesn’t take much for someone to notice The actress playing Selena looks nothing like Selena. Hollywood has a way of recasting characters to fit their image and that is exactly what happened here. For all the individuals saying you will be disappointed if you expect it to be like the 1995 movie. My disappointment has nothing to do with the 95 movie, however at least in the 95 movie they found an actress that closely resembles Selena. The fact that she is one of the most beloved MexAm stars/ figure and she was still stripped of her identity, thinned out, and white washed for Hollywood is an extreme insult to the woman she was. The story itself is intriguing to get to know more about the family, however this unfortunately becomes lost due to the half thought casting, costume, and god awful wigs.
