I found the Books Afloat series had enough action and intrigued to keep the reader's attention and desire to find out what's next. I enjoy history and learned things I was not aware of previously concerning the Japanese and the Columbia river. If you have ever traveled the Columbia river you will be able to put yourself into the action.
