An amazing attempt at making something different from the usual Bollywood drama. The visuals are incredible. A gripping cinematic experience which keeps you glued to the edge of your seats and your eyes hooked to the screen. The blend of sci-fi with mythology works quite well. The songs are picturized so beautifully that you will fall in love with. Dialouges could have been written better because some of the them are extremely cringy. The suspense, the build up is one area where they could have worked on a bit more. A little more than necessary is shown with regards to the romantic aspect. It's maybe because, in my opinion, the Indian audience is used to viewing masaledar rom-com movies. Although some people have begun to extend their perspectives, there is still a long way to go for that outlook to change.
However, what a terrific cast, with Mouni Roy absolutely crushing it with a standout performance!
Ayan Mukherji's experiment of nearly 5 years, which he has introduced to the Indian film industry, deserves support and encouragement. Without evaluating it in light of the MCU, see it for the sheer love of cinema alone. It's a work of art which has flaws, not one but many. Still, it's a start somewhere.
The film begs to be seen on a big screen. Overall, a good watch!
