People are hating on a Hellboy film that rolls like a Hellboy horror comic. If you dig Hellboh, then there is absolutely no reason to poorly criticize Hellboy "The Crooked Man". Sure it's not as big budget as the 2 original Hell of films. But it's a heck of a lot better than that 3rd Hellboy film. I mean, you have to like Hellboy...Otherwise...Why watch it at all?..But if you like Hellboy ..Crooked Man is a perfectly.good Hellboy flic.

I have nothing good to say about this film The Werewolf has always been an analogy for the predator/pedo. It appears The Beast Within widdled this down to simply "abuse". It's a film for the feminist age. Fear the man..He is a violent beast. It's all here, but it's done poorly..It's boring. The werewolf is lazy and cheats the visuals by being obscured and too dark. The "mother" is absolutely pathetic in nearly every scene..A typical "wants it to work with the abuser" character. but it's just not done well. And I think there are plenty of great films that deal with abuse. This doesn't make that list. At Kit Harrington isn't impressive at all here. If anything the young girl did a good job with what she had to work with. Which was very, very little. See something else. Maybe Blink Twice if you want to hate men.

This is what you get if you cross a nasty cannibal film like The Green Inferno and merge it with a classic like Jeremiah Johnson. The first half of the film is admittedly a slow ride. But the character development really pays off in the second half. The acting is top notch. And the horror element is beyond expectation, blending a sort of realism with extreme intensity that you will seldom find in films today. Of course, the lack of CGI makes a vast difference in a film like this. Truly underated gem.
