If you love Monsters and Robots, you will LOVE this movie. If you hate logical inconsistencies, and sometimes inaccurate physics and technology, not so much. But I do not think that was a goal of the film to be accurate and consistent. I started watching this film with a critical eye, and was frustrated with some of the stuff that went down. But then it dawned on me. NOTHING that I care about scientifically and logically really mattered. You have super cool monsters (think Godzilla times a million) go up against Giant robots that have all sorts of cool weapons, and they just have a slugfest. And the monsters get meaner with each successive generation. What more could you possibly want? Computer animation and effects were awesome. I see that there was a series spinoff and some other stuff, so I hope they are as good as this original. Edit: Just saw the followon series was anime. Not a big fan of that, so I'm a bit bummed. Maybe someone reading this will be OK with that.
