I wanted to like this movie so bad because of Benedict Cumberbatch but my gosh was this a whopping 4/10 for me. Too much going on. The first episodes were good, pulled you in. But the remaining were all over the place. It made me think how can Benedict Cumberbatch go from Doctor Strange to this? The concept seemed good with the puppet and it being the kid's idea. The detective had all these CCTV tapes readily available showing all the crime in every angle that he needed it...lol So much of this movie was predictable. Maybe if they made it into the book it would be better? or if they just focused on the son being creative and troubled and his relationship with his father who is also creative but troubled, alongside the major issues happening during those years. I had high hopes for it, but it didn't deliver.
