It’s disappointing. I mean where to start? It’s a nightmare to watch for all of us who grew up reading the series and falling in love with it. The house didn’t fit the description in the book at all, the characters had awful on screen chemistry. I mean forget the teenagers who are the main focus who look and act like their in different worlds, even the adults were so odd. The episode with the fathers visiting was such a miss and didn’t add anything to the storyline. It was also not directed well, scenes were either too long or too short. This was a tv show, not a movie, they easily could have taken the appropriate time between moments. Belly’s meet cute with Cam was AWFUL, her connection with Jer was so surface level, and Conrad spent more time on that boat then having real moments with Belly. I mean the potential was all there it was just absolutely wasted.
